Strategy/Usage
This unit is a very interesting one. Similarly to Queen B herself, Major Leaguer Cat does not hit units close to him, and instead is a unit that is meant to be stacked in battle to create massive stacks of DPS, not unlike how Red Riding Mina is used. To summarize everything simply, Leaguer Cat is Mina, but as a stackable Super Rare unit; he's meant to snipe backliners.
Keep in mind that when stacked, Leaguer is at risk of death without any real support, as he cannot hit dangerous frontline enemies like Razorback or Boraphim. Thaumaturge Cat and Headmaster Cat Jobs compliment him quite well, along with any other required traited debuffers, given the stage you plan on using Wave Attacks is able to clear out peons in the way. Additionally, walls like Green Shell Cat can also defend him.
Notably, Major Leaguer has the ability to break Barriers at the chance of 35%, which is unreliable, unless stacked, as you're meant to do. The most effective way to use this cat is to annihilate Aliens, as they have an abundance of backliners, which are countered by LD units.
Due to his standing range being inside his blindspot, he can be used in various cheese strategies.
True Form
Golfer Cat's True Form improves two things: his health and his piercing range. His piecing range is no longer 425~550, and spreads to a cover a larger area of 425~650 instead! This means that he is almost guaranteed to never hit the frontline, allowing him to snipe backliners even better than previously while keeping the enemy frontline alive to step over. Additionally, because of the effective range increase, Golfer can now snipe an even larger variety of enemy backliners. Golfer Cat can also cheese more levels with that added piercing range, often being able to hit an enemy base even with a tough boss defending it.
While not nearly as important as everything previously mentioned, Golfer's increase of health is useful, as when combined with his resistance, he can now tank more hits from Alien enemies. Unfortunately, it is a very slight stat increase and barely effects his general usage, since tanking aliens would never be viable and under no circumstances should you leave your LD units unprotected. Overall, this True Form increases Little Leaguer Cat's accuracy and health, it is worth getting just for the longer Long Distance reach and accuracy.

Trivia
- Little Leaguer Cat's name in the Japanese version, Kyuji Cat, is likely a reference to famed baseballer Kyuji Fujikawa. It could also be a pun, as 球児 (Kyū Ji) literally translates to 'ball child', and Little Leaguer Cat is a child who likes to play ball.
- Major Leaguer Cat's Barrier Breaker ability was added in Version 7.2.
- Golfer Cat appears to be a reference to an old, classic manga: There's Good Weather Tomorrow, otherwise known as Ashita Tenki ni Nāre, as he greatly resembles the main protagonist in design. This reference is also present in the combo Clear Skies, as that combo's name in the Japanese version is literally あした天気になーれ (Ashita Tenki ni Nāre).
