Strategy/Usage[]
Use Lizard Cat in combination with tanky units like Tank Cat, Crazed Tank Cat or Rocker Cat to steamroll over everything in your path. However, be mindful that this cat is single-target, as it won't work well against multiple tough enemies. In such cases, use Area Attack Cats like Paris Cat or Bahamut.
A big stack of Dragon/King Dragon Cats protected by meatshields like Tank Cat is almost unstoppable throughout Empire of Cats, as well as being fairly effective in Into the Future. It is incredibly powerful against other ranged bosses when it is protected by cat spam. Stack it together with Manic King Dragon and Li'l King Dragon and you will be able to achieve massive DPS, allowing them to easily tear apart certain notorious stages. Furthermore, because of their decently high range, as long as they are protected well, the stack you create is in little danger throughout Empire of Cats.
True Form[]
True Form improves health and attack stats, at the cost of a longer recharge time. This means that the Evolved Form can stack and deal DPS more efficiently compared to King Dragon and variants stacks. However, you should keep in mind that Dragon costs as much as King Dragon, so the latter is still preferable unless there is an overabundance of money. If you are very confident in your lineup and know you can spare a few slots, then it is a good but situational idea to use Research Up Cat Combos like Biohazard, Bony Bone or Kimono Champs, as they can reduce the recharge time of King Dragon to a somewhat okay level.
As you reach the later parts of the game, specifically UL, this unit and its variants' use declines rapidly as you are likely to acquire reliable specialists who are worth more than it. The range advantage also loses out, as Dragons eventually become vulnerable to enemy surges, waves and long distance attacks. It also loses out to other less disposable general backliners like Ururun Wolf simply because of its subpar stats.

- In several 4Koma comics, Lizard Cat is shown to be able to shed its tail when in danger.
