Lutrinae Gokurakko (聖天ゴクラッコ, Shōten Gokurakko, Sacred God Gokurakko) is an Angel variant of Otta-smack-u introduced in The Ururuvu Journals.

Enemy

Arguably the strongest variant of Otta-smack-u, this enemy is more often than not a monstrosity to behold. Its base stats are already pretty high for a peon, and this is further exacerbated by late-game buffs, not to mention its low money drop. It moves faster and has two additional knockbacks to negate its heavy pushing power, though its 50% chance to cause knockback can easily turn the tables alongside its piercing Omni Strikes that hit up to 200 range away. If that wasn't enough, its Counter-Surge ability can potentially bring forth destruction from a great distance when it comes into play.

Strategy

Like St. Dober and Angelic Gory, this enemy is not really dangerous by itself since it's vulnerable to status effects like Slow, meaning crowd-controllers like Sanzo or Farmboy might be able to stall it just fine, even with its Omni Strike. It becomes threatening when backed by other threats, however, as its knockback ability allows enemies to advance very easily and it can reposition two times. Alongside accounting for its support, you should consider units that can outrange and deal heavy damage to this enemy to remove it from play before things turn awry.

If you're concerned about it spawning Surges, simply bring attackers that don't spawn any so it doesn't get the chance, or bring Surge Immune units.

• Lutrinae Gokurakko is named similarly to most of the Behemoths, with a taxonomic term followed by a Japanese pun.
  • Lutrinae is the subfamily of Mustelidae that includes all otters.
  • Gokurakko is a pun on the Japanese words gokuraku, meaning "Heaven", "paradise", or the Buddhist concept of a pure land; and rakko, meaning "sea otter".
• The word shōten in its Japanese name, Shōten Gokurakko, literally means "sacred god", but is also another name for the Japanese Buddhist god Kangiten.
