Enemy

This very slow enemy fires off devastating area attacks from extreme range every so often and has a 50% chance to generate a level 2 Mini-Wave on hit, which, while weak, can easily accumulate. Though it is actually less durable than Manic Flying Cat with three knockbacks and lower health, it comes with a tough shield that protects it from status effects and fully regenerates, making it difficult to regain ground without getting past the shield. It dupes any Surges hitting it, but that is less relevant due to its stats and range completely invalidating the use of Surge units in its stage.

Strategy

Supercar Cat will completely obliterate Malevolent Flying Cat's Shield when timed well.

Unfortunately, Swimmer does not do massive damage to Malevolent Flying Cat, but Swimmer can still be used to rush in and do some good damage to Malevolent Flying Cat, as well as the Maawths found in its stage.
