Mecha-Bun (レジェンドブンブンΩ, Rejendo Bun Bun Ω, Legend Bun Bun Ω) is a Floating enemy that serves as the boss of Eldritch Forces, the final stage of Stories of Legend. It can be unlocked as a Special Cat with a guaranteed drop in said level.
A robotic version of Teacher Bun Bun piloted by a Doge. Universally amongst Teacher Bun Bun's variants, Mecha-Bun sports gargantuan health and DPS, but it also has an Omni Strike with 40 piercing range, with greater speed and attack rate.
Despite its name and appearance, Mecha-Bun isn't a Metal enemy.
Strategy[]
If you don't want Mecha-Bun to push, your safest option is to not let it attack at all. The best unit and the only one you will need to perma-freeze it in Eldritch Forces is Necro-Dancer Cat, who outranges Mecha-Bun's Omni Strike by 60. You might also want to use either Sadako Cat or Zamboney Cat to stop Mecha-Bun in its tracks so your Necro-Dancer Cats can attack it more safely. The Thunderbolt Cannon can help with the beginning of the fight, as it will ensure that your crowd-controllers attack before Mecha-Bun. You also need some other Long Distance/Wave/Surge units to wipe the peons such as they don't prevent your CC units from hitting Mecha-Bun. Do not rely on Sanzo Cat, as he only outranges Mecha-Bun's Omni Strike by 10.
Artifact of an ancient empire which once ruled the Earth. A dark union of Doges has revived this terrible force, but thankfully they only have one copy of the pilot's manual to share!
A dark organization has revived the power of the Ancients that once ruled the Earth. Can crush enemies with overwhelming effort, but the drawback is that it can easily cause the pilot motion sickness.

Trivia[]
Its Japanese description directly mentions the Relics before the player first encounters them, whereas the English description describes it as an ancient empire.
The "dark organization" in its Japanese description refers to the "organization conducting research to awaken ancient power" from the Japanese Stories of Legend ending. In BCEN, these were localized to "a dark union of Doges" and "a dark guild researching forbidden knowledge" respectively.
Prior to the Version 9.9 Update, Mecha-Bun's Omni Strike had an effective range of -270~270.
Even though Mecha-Bun is supposed to come as a surprise, the player can spoil its name for themselves through the Buns of SteelMeow Medal's description, which becomes visible after unlocking Miyamoku Musashi.
