In terms of health, damage and range, Medu-san is actually weaker than her Traitless counterpart. Even her Lv.1 Surge Attack doesn't allow her to reach any farther than Mr. Mer with his Mini-Waves.
Strategy[]
She has 20 less range than Mr. Mer, leaving her open to being frozen by a TalentedWeedwacker Cat, though you may additionally have to unlock Resist Surge for him to stand a chance against her. Other options include fully Surge-immune Cats such as Talented Gato Amigo as a meatshield and Talented Beefcake Cat as an attacker. Even Cats that can outrange Medu-san's regular attacks can still potentially get hit by a Surge depending on where it spawns.

Trivia[]
Her snakes appear to be reused and recolored assets from Medusa Cat.
Her name is a portmanteau of Medusa, the most famous gorgon of Greek mythology known for the ability of petrification, and -san, a Japanese honorific roughly equivalent to English "Mr.", "Ms". or "Mrs".
Her Japanese name, Madū-san, also incorporates the word ma, meaning "demon" or "evil spirit".
Her description may be a reference to the Japanese urban legend Kuchisake-onna, who asks someone if she is pretty, then either kills or injures them depending on their answer.
She and Kunio-kun are the only characters whose English names contain Japanese honorifics.
Her Japanese description is the opposite of Mr. Mer's. Where Mr. Mer is a travelling stone statue that is alive, Medu-san petrifies travelers.
She was technically an event enemy for a short time, as her only appearance at first was in Empress' Report 4.
