Meowla Meowla is a Special Cat that was added in Version 3.5 and is only unlockable during the Survive! Mola Mola! Collaboration Event. He can be unlocked by clearing any of the Survive! Mola Mola! stages.

Strategy/Usage

Catorpedo is similar to Chalkboard Eraser Cat as an anti-Red meatshield, though like Chalkboard, he doesn't stand up to Eraser Cat. Catorpedo has some DPS, though this is at the expense of qualities useful for meatshields such as low cost and few knockbacks. Overall, other units such as Eraser Cat and Roe Cat are much better to use than Catorpedo.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Looks somewhat like a Whale Cat, but the back half of his body is replaced with a fin. Resembles an ocean sunfish. Attacks by spewing a faint jet of water from his mouth.
• Evolved Form: Gains two muscular arms, looking rather like a sunfish crossed with a Bullet Bill from the Mario series. Attacks by spewing a jet of flame from his mouth.

Trivia

• The line, "Still kinda wishes he became a meteorologist," in Meowla Meowla's description is a reference to the weather forecast program Yanbō Mābō Tenkiyohō. The joke is that the Japanese word for sunfish is manbō, which sounds like a combination of the names of the two mascot characters, Yanbō and Mābō. Thus, if he were to become a manbō, it could mean becoming a sunfish or becoming a third mascot for the program.
  • BCJP makes the reference more obvious, as his Japanese name is Nyanbō and his description instead mentions a "weather forecast program started with his brothers."
• Catorpedo is a reference to the Bullet Bill from the Mario franchise. "Hates being stepped all over" refers to how Mario can defeat Bullet Bills by jumping on them.
• During the first run of the collab, this unit was obtained by playing the game "Survive! Mola Mola!" and getting "Sudden Death" when "Cat Mode" had been activated. After that, you would open The Battle Cats and it would tell you that you had received Meowla Meowla.
