Strategy/Usage
Normal/Evolved Form
Prior to True Form, Mer-Cat is useless, so try to unlock her True Form as soon as possible.
True Form
Cameraman Cat is an extremely efficient DPS unit against Floating enemies. A big enough stack of them will reduce even the mighty Teacher Bun Bun and most of his variants to rubble. Cameraman Cat is also blessed with amazing survivability, low cost, and a short recharge time, which makes stacking this Cat easy for the player and breaking through a stack quite difficult for many enemies.
Research UP Combos like Biohazard and Bony Bone can be used to make Cameraman Cat even more spammable than she already is. Keep in mind, however, that she will drain money quickly, especially if you use a CPU. With proper meatshielding, she can be extremely useful in stages such as Head Shaker, Tiny Horns, and Lots O' Lion.
Talents
Since Cameraman specializes in both offense and defense, the Attack Buff and Health Buff talents directly contribute in making this unit much better.
Cameraman's Critical Hit is also fairly cheap and allows for very strong hits being landed on Metal enemies every once in a while, although due to the extreme RNG involved (a mere 2% chance), it is not clever to rely on her as your only anti-metal and should be using other critters such as Jurassic Cat.
The Survive Talent is almost a must, as this unit will stay on the battlefield for longer on average, accumulating more damage and making her more cost efficient.
Wave Resistance makes stacks of Cameramen work better against wave enemies, although most wave enemies are able to knock her back regardless of her Wave Resistance due to the buffs they receive, making her compatibly limited at best and mostly reliant on luck. This talent can still work, especially in conjunction with the Catseye route and Defense Buff.
Overall, her Talents allow her to become viable even more so than before and can turn her into a far better generalist powerhouse.
