This Sloth outranges many Rare and Super Rare Critical Hitters, and has a quick attack rate. It also moves fast compared to most Metal enemies. However, the rest of its stats are low, comparable to Super Metal Hippoe.

Its Japanese name, Hagurekemoruru, is a portmanteau of hagureta, meaning "stray", and "Namarukemoruru", THE SLOTH's Japanese name.
- Since Steel Snake is seemingly based on the Metal Slime from Dragon Quest, this is probably intended as a reference to the Liquid Metal Slime, which is known as Haguremetaru (はぐれメタル, "Stray Metal") in Japan.
It is one of the few enemies whose health and attack power are equal.
