Metafilibuster (メタフィリバスター, Metafiribasutā, Metafilibuster) is a Floating variant of Filibuster Obstructa that appears in Legend Stages.

Enemy

Metafilibuster is a hologram of Filibuster Obstructa with nearly identical stats and abilities, the only meaningful differences being an extra million HP, an added immunity to Surges and the removal of his Alien trait. With the enemy himself remaining relatively trivial, the true threat lies in the drastically improved support that you must neutralize quickly.

Strategy

It's worth noting that unlike Filibuster Obstructa in Filibuster Invasion, this enemy may not hit the Cat Base in A Whole New World if it's far enough away due to the increased stage width.

Trivia

• Since Filibuster Obstructa resembles Mecha-Frieza, Metafilibuster may be a reference to the Meta-Coolers introduced in Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler. This is supported by how Metafilibuster's Japanese description says that his power can change the world and how his first stage's English name is A Whole New World, potentially referencing Meta-Cooler's role as one of the Universe Creation Planners.
  • When unlocked as Filibuster Cat X's True Form, Metafilibuster takes on a golden hue, which may be a nod to Golden Meta-Cooler.
• Metafilibuster's knockback animation has the hologram glitch slightly. He shares this behavior with his allied counterpart.
• Metafilibuster, Super Metal Hippoe and Firecracker are the only enemy units whose knockback animations have multiple frames.
  • Dark Emperor Nyandam, Director Kurosawah, Skelecat, Gato Amigo, Manic Lion Cat and Bardiel are all internally set to have knockback animations that last more than 1 frame, however they still remain static when knocked back.
• Metafilibuster's attack cycle is one frame shorter than Filibuster Obstructa's.
