Sniper & Tanker |
Strategy/Usage
Mighty Kat-A-Pult is a similar tanker to Sea Maiden Ruri. The crew has incredible health against their target, but their usage is bogged down by 2 things: Low damage and a blindspot. Regarding their damage as a sniper, the DPS is good. In other regards, it's pretty pathetic. This is further hindered by weak damage per hit and weak standing range.
Their blindspot isn't too big of an issue as a generalist. It's quite small. However, 1. They aren't too viable as a generalist and are only good in their niche, and 2. The blindspot becomes a nightmare in their niche. Zombies will be able to invade the tank members' blindspot no matter what. This is somewhat fixed by adding the Resist ability, but you'll end up stacking a whole bunch of enemies inside their range rather than weakening them. The crew is used to their fullest when they have heavy attackers by their side.
The unreal health they have against Zombies is what salvages them as an anti-zombie. If that wasn't the case, they'd be infinitely more underwhelming; their tanker health is middle of the road, and their recharge time is some of the worst among tankers in the whole game.
True Form
The standing range increase and the even smaller blindspot helps the proud crewmates of the Cat-8 Behemoth. As a generalist, they can now be used as a chip-damager when peons or other stepping stones can be used, although they still aren't all that amazing. As an anti-zombie, nothing changes.
Talents
Every talent the Behemoth gets is a very direct improvement that contributes a lot. Not resist freeze, though. That can take a backseat. Attack up enhances his usage as a chip-damager by a slight amount. It's quite pricey, so only consider it after boosting the tank with Catseyes. Health up is a much more obvious choice. It boosts their capacity as a tanker. When their primary goal is getting as much health against zombies as possible, it's an upgrade worth doing.
Wave attacks and slow are the best talents that Cat-8 Behemoth offers. Slowing can allow them to get some extra damage out onto zombies, and give them a longer time for weakening, and if weaken doesn't proc, then slow probably will. Wave attacks improve both their crowd controlling ability and chip-damager niche. In summary, all of these talents except resist freeze improve him dramatically. If there's any reason not to invest in them, it would be that Behemoth just wasn't all that good in the first place, so you have no obligation to do so. But if you need a zombie crowd-controller, there's a team of spunky interns waiting.

Appearance
- Normal Form: A wooden contraption resembling a wheeled catapult, it appears to be commanded by a cat wearing a gladiatorial helmet and holding a wooden sword and a small, circular metal shield. It attacks by launching a boulder from the bucket.
- Evolved Form: A giant metal vehicle resembling a tank, with many different cats riding on it. The "commander" appears in the attack animation, during which he points with a baton as the cannon fires. During the attack animation, many smaller cannons fire as the large one does.
- True Form: Similar to the evolved form, but the entire tank (including the army cats hats) have a greenish tint to them, and the "Commander's" baton looks green. The clothes hung on a spike are now also in color.
Trivia
- The attack animation is similar to the attack animation of Big Shiee from the Metal Slug franchise with the main cannon appearing out of the vehicle and firing an explosive projectile.
- Although this unit's description says that it "weakens enemies", implying that it can weaken any type of enemy, it only weakens Zombies.
- The Evolved Form's name is a reference to "Tom Clancy's Rainbow-6 Siege."
