Mighty Sphinx Korps (Uber Rare Cat)

Mighty Sphinx Korps is an Uber Rare Cat that can be obtained by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Frontline Assault Iron Legion gacha event. It was added in Version 12.5. True Form was added in version 14.6.

Evolves into Attack Battalion Convoys at level 10.

Evolves into Hyper Battalion Convoys at level 30 using x10 x10 x3 Catfruit and 1,000,000 XP.

Strategy/Usage

This unit is designed to rush to the frontline as fast as possible and hold the line. It is particularly effective against enemies that apply knockback, against whom other tanks and meatshields may struggle, but this vehicle will rush back in immediately, not to mention how it will get more chances to reposition if the frontline moves, as it stands still after attacking otherwise. Being immune to knockback would likely be preferable, but such incredible speed is good enough. Enemies with knockback also give this unit more chances to weaken its targets, further enhancing its defensive capabilities. Super Metal Hippoe is an especially good match due to its virtually nonexistent damage against this anti-Metal tank. For Zombies and Reds, it also has great matchups, but will face competition from Sushi Cat against Reds, who is more spammable and equally capable of weakening, and struggle in some zombie stages, as Soul Strike may cause it to needlessly get stuck on a dead Zombie while the army advances unprotected.

Although this unit works similarly to A. Bahamut and Maglev, it should not be used for damage, as its DPS leaves a lot to be desired.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Four cats transporting a large stone block on a wooden vehicle. Two cats seem to be pedalling, while the others seem to be supervising or directing the transport.
• Evolved Form: A truck Tractor with an elongated shape, typical of US and Australian trucks. The vehicle has been modified with armour, a platform full of cats and what appears to be a rocket engine for propulsion.

Trivia

• The Normal Form has an Ancient Egyptian theme.
  • Its appearance depicts Cats transporting a large stone block for the construction of an Egyptian pyramid (the description states it is for a royal tomb, which is the purpose of a pyramid). Other details such as the ankh a Cat carries, the hieroglyph-like drawings on the block, and the headdress attached to a Cat's helmet strengthen the connection.
  • The Normal Form is named after sphinx, an important creature in Egyptian mythology, famously represented by the Great Sphinx of Giza.
