Strategy/Usage[]
Thermae is the epitome of an anti-zombie unit in a shiny package. Having enough range to counter many Zombies and a long backwards Omni Strike coverage, it can even catch zombies that have burrowed a little behind it. Its strength against Zombies is further defined by its three-part multi-hit which separates its attacks into three parts, each carrying a 1-second freeze. Combined with Thermae's high attack rate, it can greatly impede zombies and swiftly finish them, even if they burrow into itself. Its low speed also allows it to stay behind, catching any stray zombies that managed to avoid your frontline. Its high knockback count ensures even when overwhelmed, it could still quickly recover ground and exploit its range.
True Form[]
This True Form adds nothing beyond a small damage boost. Obviously, more damage is always good for a damage-focused unit, but it's better to invest in them if you also wish to unlock this unit's Talents.
Talents[]
As a stat-based unit, Strengthen, Defense Buff and Attack Buff are pretty good, with Strengthen having the highest priority due to Subterra Sentinels' high knockback count, which allows it to take great advantage of any extra damage as it can still reposition twice at that point. As for the other two, more damage and health are always great to have, though their steep NP cost means it's better to invest in them if you use this unit a lot and have lots of NP to share after boosting them with Catseyes.
Soulstrike is another great Talent. Since zombies do tend to be mixed in various stages and can get annoying if your specialists didn't finish them, Soulstrike allows Subterra Sentinels, which are naturally slow, to remove or cripple these threats before they pop up again as your remaining units move forward. It excels at clearing up just about any zombie due to its fast attack rate that can quickly clear up groups of zombie peons, or do a huge number on tougher zombies, and in the case if they revive inside this unit, its freeze and Strong Against abilities will ensure they can't get far.
On the other hand, Curse Immune and Freeze Resist are not as useful. Although Curse Immune does see use in stages where Zombies are paired with these threats (such as Golem Sunfish in Retreat of the Living Dead, it's too situational to be considered worthwhile. Freeze Resist, similarly, has few uses, since Zir Zeal's freeze has full uptime with its fast attack rate, while most other threats don't warrant the use of Subterra Sentinels at all, making it competely useless as well.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: A mobile cart with a tall pillar in the middle. Middle: a Cat in a bathtub with fancy ancient Roman themed decorations surrounding it, bathing in awe and wealth. Bottom: two worker cats sitting below, heating up the bathtub. One is wearing an eye-patch and the other has a moustache. Top: a Cat holding dousing rods while manning the make shift water pump. Attacks by "drilling" in the terrain with said pump, after moving back a little.
- Evolved Form: The recurring eyepatch Cat with a metal detector and some sort of equipment on his back connected to it. He also wears some sort of hat and what appears to be a fire proximity suit. Attacks by summoning Grandon Mining Corps machines from an explosion of the ground, while running around in terror.
- True Form: Same as the evolved form, however the excavation machines are black and gold instead of the original white colour scheme. A fat cat eating rice can be seen sitting atop the Neo Cutter Cat.

Trivia[]
- Like other units of the same set, two Cats with eyepatch and moustache respectively are treated poorly in Normal Form, while the moustached one seemingly had the highest position with the eyepatched one only slightly lesser than him in Evolved Form.
- Even if its first form's description says that it Slows and causes massive damage to Zombies, it actually Freezes them and is Strong Against them. Massive damage only implies it does great damage to zombies, and does not refer to the eponymous ability.
- The Evolved Form's description says that it freezes Zombies, but still says that it has massive damage.
- Both forms' descriptions have been corrected in an unknown update.
- The excavation machines seen during Subterra Guardians' attack animation resemble the Grandon Mining Corps Cats. The Subterra Sentinels attack animation shows the True Forms of the Grandon Mining Corps, which were added in Version 10.6, and feature different sprites.
- The Cat is seen wearing a Fire Proximity Suit, also used by volcanologists for protection against heat sources.
- Subterra Sentinels, B.C.S. Tigerclaw, and NEK-02 Air Citadel are the only three units with 6 Talents instead of the usual 5 Talents.
- Incidentally, all three of these units get Soulstrike as one of these Talents.
