Strategy/Usage[]
Mightycat is an anti-Traitless Wave Shield, filling two rare and valuable niches amongst non-gacha units. However, he has very short range, is quite fast, and has a lot of knockbacks, making him somewhat difficult to use to his full potential. Mightycat is outclassed by Thaumaturge Cat when it comes to weakening mid-ranged enemies such as R.Ost; but against Long Distance and some Wave Attack enemies Mightycat truly shines as his near-instant attack and high movement speed can cripple targets like Dober P.D, Dolphina or even Li'l King Dragon Cat.
For his other role, blocking Wave Attacks, Mightycat is meant to be used differently than other more traditional Wave Shield units, like Octopus Cat. His role is to reduce the length of extra-dangerous Wave Attacks like Axoloty's or the Doge Base's by intercepting them or hitting a peon in front of the unit with waves, making him effective as long as the enemy keeps on being knocked back, as it allows his speed to not hinder him, rather than simply putting him on the frontlines to even prevent the wave from launching. Sadly, a large drawback is that on stages with too little space, he might miss his attack because of his speed making him rush into different Traited enemies or fly into enemies with higher range than him. His advantage of being the only Wave Shield in 4-Crown Legend stages is his most useful aspect.

Trivia[]

- Supercat's name and attire both reference Superman.
- Supercat's Japanese name, Gi-Nyan, is a reference to the Doraemon character Takeshi "Gian" Gouda, who also has a large build and aspires to be a singer.
- The symbol on Mightycat's belt is に, pronounced 'ni'. It is the first character in にゃん, pronounced 'nyanko', a childish way of saying "cat".
- Mightycat is currently the only Rare Cat and non-gacha cat to have the Wave Shield ability.
- Mightycat and Supercat's attack animations resemble the attack animation of Brollow and its variants.
