Strategy/Usage
Normal Form
Mizli, prior to evolving, tends to be inconsistent and unreliable, but can provide great help when dealing with short ranged Aliens, such as Star Peng, provided you protect her well. Her lack of survivability prevents this unit from being worth bringing over its other forms, so using the most advanced form is always recommended, unless, of course, in certain stages with restrictions about cost.
Evolved and True Form
Capable of Barrier-Breaking and being immune to Warp, Marinmizu is basically built for fending off strong Starred Aliens. It's a great crowd control unit and can easily push a horde of dangerous close-ranged Aliens and keeping them away from your ranged units and your base. It can be an amazing asset when going through Into the Future and Cats of the Cosmos with its 100% double status proc as well as instant Barrier Breaker. Unfortunately, her greatest strength is her greatest flaw, as explained below.
Most Alien-focused levels in Stories of Legend and Uncanny Legends, the main focus of the game, have been designed where using Marinmizu or Mizuririn will cause more harm than good. This is due to many Stories of Legend and Uncanny Legends stages having powerful Alien backliners like Alpacky or Elder Sloth. These all counter the very design of Marinmizu, as its ability of having 100% slow and knockback will be the death of not only itself, but also every other cat. Marinmizu's 100% slow and knockback means that it will push back anything it outranges, and temporarily make them stay there without advancing. This may sound like an amazing support ability on paper, but when you take into account the existence of backline attackers, this means that your cats are forced to walk forward, and any mid-rangers you have that can help, for example Seafarer Cat or Can Can Cat, would almost be guaranteed to take a hit from the enemies. Even if your attackers are still barely out of reach of the backline attacker, you're still putting them in a much more dangerous spot than before where a small push means death to your stack. The phrase that has been coined for this is the "Mizli Syndrome".
However, it still has its space to shine. Not all Alien-focused Legend Stages have been designed in this way, a small amount albeit. For example, The Wormhole Opens is a great stage for Marinmizu as there are no backliner enemies at all, and status effects are very much needed in this stage to keep Super Cosmic Cyclone at bay, making Marinmizu able to use its potential to the fullest. Other examples include Roswell Incident and Offworld Weary.
Talents
Unfortunately, Mizuririn's talents do not save her from being cursed by her typing. She has a slow up talent, which gives her slow ability a longer duration. This could actually be worse for Mizuririn as it gives the knocked back enemies more time to be slowed, making backliners have more time to attack your attackers before the frontliners go in front again. Next is her resist slow talent, which is decent as she can now counter Galactic Overseer Nyandam and Imperator Sael. Her last talent is survive a lethal strike, which doesn't help Mizuririn too much. In summary, practically all of these Talents are near-worthless, as none of them solve her initial problems. For these reasons, it is highly recommended you do not invest in her.

Catfruit Evolution
Appearance
- Normal Form: A small, blue, floating creature with big dark eyes and a clear water theme. It is followed by a water drop with a cat face. Also has some sort of golden diadem on the forehead and two more golden bits in the same waterdrop shape on the cat-like ears. Attacks by summoning water orbs, then throwing them at the ground, creating a geyser.
- Evolved Form: Becomes much bigger and has two water strips as its "hair". Its legs are now much longer, which make its bottom look like a skirt, and it now wears a headband that is connected to the center golden plate. The geyser is now slightly bigger.
- True Form: Its water skirt is much bigger, it wields a staf that contains the water spirit and its attack has a bigger impact, now creating a rainbow. It also has a flower on its head.

Trivia
- Mizli's name resembles the word mizzly, a portmanteau of mist and drizzle, a very particular form of fine rain that 'hangs' in the air.
- Marinmizu's name is derived from the Japanese word for water, mizu, and either the Latin word for sea, mare, or something derived from it.
