New World Ehen (新世界アリ=エヘン, Shinsekai Ari=Ehen, New World Unbelievable) is the 5th sub-chapter of Zero Legends, and the 103rd sub-chapter overall. It was introduced in Version 12.5 and is available up to 1♛ difficulty.

Difficulty[]

A fairly easy sub-chapter compared to the previous ones. Only the 7th stage may cause you trouble, although without proper units, the last stage might also be difficult.

New Features[]

This sub-chapter introduces 5 enemies to Zero Legends:

  • Lophiiformes Angaburu: A Zombie/Floating/Behemoth variant of Henry. A very different enemy overall, with no Long Distance, 1 less knockback, a quick attack rate, mediocre range and otherwise average stats, guaranteed Slow with moderate uptime, and a 75% chance to create a Mini-Surge between 280 and 980 range. The only enemy completely new to this chapter.
  • THE FOLIVOREAN: An Aku/Behemoth variant of THE SLOTH that moves much faster, has a weak Shield and hits three times per attack, affecting a different range and potentially freezing units on each hit. Its immunity to waves makes it harder to snipe.
  • Suidae Piggicus: An Alien/Behemoth variant of Pigge. One of the more balanced Behemoths overall, it mainly serves as a tank whose only impressive stats are health and attack rate. Occasionally freezes cats for 2 seconds.
  • Divine Cyclone: A purely Angel Cyclone that debuted in Wrath of Heaven. Like most Cyclones, it has very low range but extreme damage and attack speed, letting it shred through units if it isn't stopped.
  • Queen B: An Alien/Floating enemy introduced in Queen's Coronation. Her ceaseless Long Distance attacks hit from extreme range, with high damage and full-uptime Slow (7.4 seconds), so anything caught in her AOE is a lost cause. Fortunately, her large blindspot means she isn't really a threat unless backed by other enemies that cover it.

Trivia[]

  • New World Ehen's name is derived from the Japanese word ariehen (ありえへん), meaning "unbelievable".
    • It may also be a reference to Ariehen∞Sekai (ありえへん∞世界, "Unbelievable∞World"), a variety program aired on TV Tokyo.
  • All Japanese stage names in this sub-chapter are puns using Kansai dialect. In the English version, the only puns are Banishin' Tigers (Hanshin Tigers) and Hole Lotta Somethin' ("A whole lot of something").
    • In addition, the stage locations on the map (a jumbled up and horizontally inverted map of Japan) are each placed in a prefecture of the Kansai region with the addition of Awaji Island, which is a part of Hyōgo Prefecture.
      • Because of this, the "New World" part of New World Ehen likely refers to Shinsekai (新世界, lit. "New World"), an old neighborhood of the designated city Osaka, which is in the Kansai region.
  • In the Korean version, New World Ehen's stages are themed around Gyeongsang dialect and the sub-chapter is named GAGA GAGA, the only Korean sub-chapter name to be written entirely in English.
  • The sub-chapter info screen shown when pressing the speech bubble next to New World Ehen in the Legend Stages menu displays its name as "New World Area: Ehen", which is most likely a mistranslation.
