One-Eyed Asuka (Uber Rare Cat)

One-Eyed Asuka is an Uber Rare Cat that can be obtained by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration event. It was added in Version 12.4. This unit is a variant of Kasli the Bane with various different attributes.

Strategy/Usage

One-Eyed Asuka is a very strong unit, boasting very high health and incredible DPS when taking into consideration her surge attack. She shares many similarities with Kasli the Bane. She has lower stats, curse uptime, and her immunities are more situational, but just being a close copy makes her an incredible uber to have. Against Colossal enemies, One-Eyed Asuka works very well if she outranges them, as her stats are higher against them, and she can briefly shut down their abilities. As one of the few units with Eva Angel Killer, the same can be said for these threats as well.

A few minor differences between Kasli the Bane and Asuka are that Asuka has one less knockback, but 100 more surge range. This means that Asuka has slightly less survivability than other Kasli variants but can sometimes pierce further into enemy lines. Her greater surge range can also mean that the surge sometimes doesn't hit the same enemies that her main attack hits, but both this and her one less knockback are pretty trivial and shouldn't be taken into consideration when choosing whether or not to bring her on a stage.

Although bringing this unit and other Kasli variants are definitely enough to cause widespread destruction, it's worth mentioning One-Eyed Asuka will override Kasli the Bane's curse duration and can miss attacks when Kasli the Scourge causes knockback, so other forms of support may work better in such scenarios.

• Normal Form: Asuka Langley in Kasli the Bane's outfit.

• Unlike Kasli variants, One-Eyed Asuka's stats do not change between forms.
• The evolved form references how Asuka was infected by the Ninth Angel in both the appearance and description of the unit; the eyepatch on "her left eye" held "dark magics," a reference to how she unleashes Angel blood and uses its power.
