Strategy[]

Strategy 1 (4 Crowns), itemless[]

Lineup: Crazy Hearts, Hyper Mr. (40), Zamboney Cat (40), Courier Cat (40), Riceball Cat (40), Awakened Bahamut (30).

Cannon doesn't matter, don't use any items. As soon as the battle starts, send out a Hyper Mr., and then a Zamboney as soon as you can. With Hyper Mr. at 40, he should get to the sardines and be knocked back just as Ayumi attacks, saving his life and keeping Ayumi from moving up too far. As soon as Zamboney hits, send out a Courier, and as Ayumi winds up for another attack, send out a second Courier and a Riceball. The two couriers should clear the sardines and squids. Send out A.Baha as Ayumi winds up for another attack, and then summon Riceballs and Couriers as you have the cash for them (you probably won't need more than one alive anyway). Even if your timing is somewhat off, A.Baha has enough HP to survive one hit from Ayumi, so it's all but guaranteed that the base will die before A.Baha. This strategy should easily win fast enough to get all timed rewards.

Strategy 2 (4 Crowns)[]

Lineup: Cool Japan, Awakened Bahamut 40, Slime Cat 50, Green Shell Cat 50, Idi 40.

Cannon: Thunderbolt 15+

Items: Rich Cat

Send out Slime as soon as you can. And right before Ayumi is about to kill Slime, send out Green Shell. About a one second or right before Green Shell is about to hit Ayumi send out a second Slime. If this Slime dies you should force close and restart battle. Right after Ayumi finishes its attack, send out A. Bahamut and your Slime and Bahamut should slip through. After Ayumi dies, save up for Idi and send it out when you have a window. Also at this point you should start spamming Riceball and Slime. The first Ayumi should die before the second comes out and when it does freeze it with yout Thunderbolt. If the freeze doesn't last long enough then level up your cannon. After that, you should win.

Strategy 3 (3-4 Crowns Timed Score)[]

3-Crown[]

Lineup: Crazy Hearts, Courier Cat 40, Can Can Cat 40, Maglev Cat 32, Fishman Cat 30+2, Awakened Bahamut Cat 30

Items: "Rich Cat, Sniper Cat"

Notes: "Some units such as Can Can and Fishman might not be used at all, and could be removed or replaced with better units"

4-crown[]

Lineup: Crazy Hearts, Puppetmaster & Charley 30, Courier Cat 40, Hyper Mr. 30, Cat Gang 30, Awakened Bahamut Cat 30

Items: "Rich Cat, Sniper Cat"

Notes: "Some units such as Puppetmaster might not be used at all, and could be removed or replaced with better units"

The main concept behind the strategy for both of these stages is to send out your fastest unit to reach the base before the Ayumi Manbosaki spawns and moves ahead of the base. If your units are not able to hit the base through the Sunfish, you should force-close and restart. Using a rich cat will ensure that you have the fastest wallet speed, and force-restarting will make sure that you don't waste items or energy during your attempts.

Ideally, you want a fast unit to stop the progress of the sunfish, and a relatively fast area attacker (courier) to follow up and clean out all the peons to clear a path straight to the base for Awakened Bahamut. You will need to time the release of your fastest unit well with the Manbosaki's attack animation so there's always a unit right up against the base, stopping the Manbosaki from progressing.

The strategy is nearly identical for both 3 and 4 crown stages, just with different units. Using a Money up combo that gives you 1000 cents or more (either 2 Medium, 1 Large, or XL combos), you should start the stage with enough money to immediately summon Maglev, Hyper Mr. or another of your fastest units that you're allowed to use in the stage. Immediately after, send out Courier or another fast area-attacker that can clear out peons. From here, just save up money and be prepared to send out A. Bahamut when there's a clear path and when he won't get caught in the Manbosaki's attack. If the timing isn't right, just make sure you're sending out your fast units to keep the Manbosaki stalled in place. If the second one spawns, you should still be good as long as you can attack the base, but if you don't beat the stage shortly after the second Manbosaki spawns, force-restart and try again!
