PPT48 (Uber Rare Cat)

PPT48 is an Uber Rare Cat that was added in Version 2.0.6 and can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Princess Punt Sweets Collaboration Event. True Form added in Version 6.1 increases freeze time while decreasing time between attacks and recharge. Talents were added in Version 10.7.

Strategy/Usage

PPT48's stats are highly unbalanced against her; with virtually no health and damage, she has no real impact in fights, exception made for the very beginning of the game. Her only real redeeming quality is the ability, which, however, has both low cooldown and uptime, as well as low compatibility on Blacks, high competition and a tendency to never be applied due to how easily this unit dies.

Her use is not recommended, but, if used, she should at the very least be limited to black-heavy stages only, where she should be used in tandem with other stallers while being heavily defended.

True Form

PPT46 and her squad of cats are still pretty weak, but the acceptable recharge for her kind of unit and increased attack rate make her much better.

Despite everything, she is still rarely worth using outside stages that feature many Black enemies, as her stats, even when boosted, lead to a unit who is highly unfit for generalist work.

Against Black enemies, she has the advantage that it may be possible to stack some of her to get a consistent effect on those with medium range, problem is... there aren't really any and there are plenty of better options for shorter-ranged foes.

Talents

Recover Speed Up is an solid talent. It give the unit more spammability, which is important for a 40% freeze proc unit, though it is a tad expensive for only about a little over 3 seconds off the top. Not a bad investment if you use PPT46 unit a lot and/or have NP to spare.

Attack Buff and Defense Buff are fairly useless, as PPT46 is a CC unit with bad stats despite her low recharge time and cost.

Curse Immunity is completely useless. PPT46 has no anti-relic capabilities, and even if she did, or on stages with Black, Angel and Relic enemies, anything that does curse her will very likely also kill her. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS.

Target Angel is easily her best and most interesting talent. Unlike Black enemies, the Angel freeze niche is much less filled, especially for spammable units. And when it comes to spammable units, PPT46 has most of them beat. Her range is what gives her the upper hand against a wide variety of potent angel threats. Unlike Juliet Cat, her main competition, she outranges Angelic Sleipnir, Winged Pigge, Heavenly Le'saint and many others. This talent allows her to become a very strong unit in this niche and therefore making this a very worthwhile talent.

Appearance

Trivia

• The unit's appearance tends to mimic that of Dark Emperor Nyandam. They both sit on a throne and point with a finger. The Cats that carry the throne resemble the evil spirits under Nyandam's throne.
  • In fact, the Evolved Form's description states that the black cats escaped from the tyranny of Dark Emperor Nyandam.
• When being exchanged for XP, PPT48 only gives 550,000 XP instead of 1 million XP.
• PPT48 and Evangelist Cat are the only Uber Rare Cats that have unusual level-up costs.
• PPT48's name could be a reference to Japanese musical/idol group AKB48.
  • The True Form's name is likely based on Nogizaka46, which is the official rival group of AKB48.
