Strategy[]

This stage introduces Dogenstein, a Sage variant of Doge that has more health than a 200% Wild Doge but much less damage, as well a 35% chance to freeze. While the freeze may seem scary, his short range allows for you to just use meatshields to take the freeze as opposed to your attackers. The stage itself is a mix of Traitless and Alien enemies, but overall isn't too difficult. Hitman Cat can deal with both the Dogensteins and the Dober P.D, while Seafarer Cat can freeze the Calamary to prevent your units from being weakened. Can Can Cat can be very helpful for every enemy in the stage.

Trivia[]

  • As the first stage to take place in a rearranged North and South America, Permission to Land has three potential references to American culture:
    • Permission to Land's Japanese name, Jiyū e no Jōriku-chi (自由への上陸地, "Landing Point to Freedom"), mentions freedom and may specifically reference "Land of the Free", a phrase in "The Star-Spangled Banner" commonly used as a nickname for the U.S.
    • The enemy base has an eagle on it.
    • Dogenstein resembles Albert Einstein, who spent the last 22 years of his life in the U.S.
