Strategy[]

Rushers excel here when Evil Emperor Cat is alone as the enemy limit is low; here are some examples: Idi:N2, Awakened Bahamut, Immortal Yukimura, and Bullet Train Cat. Cats with Anti-Relic/Evade Surge abilities can be of great assistance as well. Although they do not work as well as the previously mentioned Cats, other rusher-class Cats are usable in this stage.

Units that can outrange Evil Emperor Cat also excel here, such as Cyberpunk Cat (with several Slow Up Talents), Assassinlan Pasalan with Slow Up Talents, and Piccolan Pasalan with Freeze Up Combos. Lastly, some generally good units that can do massive damage to all enemies here are Can Can Cat (Speed Up and Money Up Talents are both recommended) and Greater Balrog Cat (Strengthen and Attack Buff Talents are recommended for higher damage). Cats in the Cradle are another viable choice if leveled high enough. Their Wave Attack can deal decent damage to the boss and the peons, not to mention being immune to freeze makes them a generally useful unit. Jellycat, albeit having low health, is also another useful unit, being able to help clear out peons and also snipe the boss. Slapsticks Cats are also great to have against the other relics here.

Strategy 1 (Uberless)[]

Row 1: Brave Cutter, Micro Fighters, Manic Eraser Cat 41, Future Cat 36

(Neo Cutter [30] is the only Combo cat that will be used)

Row 2: Slapstick Cats 36, Can Can (41 with Money Up Talent), Bullet Train Cat 40, Awakened Bahamut Cat 40, Manic Island Cat 40

Start by summoning Future Cat and Manic Eraser as meatshields, and Can Can, Manic Island and Bullet Train as attackers. Level up Worker Cat to 3 for now. After you approach the first Sir Seal and Capy, either Bullet Train or Can Can should finish off the Sir Seal to give you a huge load of cash. If not, just save up for A. Baha anyways.

After Cat Cannon charges, and only after it charges, send out A. Bahamut and Bullet Train after the Surge ends. Bullet Train is just there so that it can either: 1. Clear any peons in the way or 2. Stay in front of A. Bahamut so it doesn't get killed in one hit by Capy. Make sure to use Cat Cannon to interrupt the Evil Emperor's attack. Continue spamming Can Can, Manic Island, and your meatshields. Make sure to time your Bullet Trains and Neo Cutters to avoid hitting the Surges. If all goes well, your A. Bahamut should kill off the first Capy. If not, Capy should be left almost dead anyway, as long as your A. Bahamut gets off about 3-4 hits.

Once the Oldhorn spawns, start adding Slapsticks to the Cat spam. Obviously, you can summon them before if you have enough cash, but if not, only start sending them once Oldhorn appears. If you run out of cash, prioritize Can Can over Slapsticks, since the Money Up Talent can help to refill your cash. Refrain from sending Neo Cutter and Bullet Train unless you have sufficient cash.

The Oldhorn should die about 600-ish distance from your base (it seems to be consistently there after 3 consecutive successful runs). Then summon A. Bahamut again and win.

Trivia[]

  • The background used in this stage was added in Version 10.0, but was unimplemented and had a color scheme closer to that of Saint Red Fox.
    Bg147

    Older Prelude to Ruin background

  • The "Demon King" (魔王 Maō) mentioned in the Japanese name of this stage, Possessed by the Demon King, could be an allusion to Mystic Uril's description which mentions Uril himself sealing away a Demon King. This Demon King likely refers to Infernal Tyrant Nyandam, an Aku enemy titled "Great Demon King" in BCJP.
  • Prior to the Version 10.2.1 Update, this stage had one less Capy, fewer Sir Rels and earlier enemy spawns.
