Strategy/Usage[]
Psychocat is a very useful support cat for nearly all of Into the Future and some parts of Cats of the Cosmos. Alongside Surfer Cat, Psychocat is exceptional at controlling short-ranged Alien enemies and keeping their threat level to a minimum. Stacks of Psychocats keep Alien enemies at a distance while your anti-Alien heavy hitters like Macho Leg and Chill Cat beat them to a pulp, he also outranges both Raging Bahamut Cat and Corrupted Valkyrie, allowing you to paralyze them so your ranged attackers can safely take them out.
In the Legend Stages, Psychocat is rarely effective, as his lack of area attack limits his use to stages with few Alien frontliners. He can still effectively slow Cosmic Cyclone, Nimoy Bore and similar units to great effect, though.
True Form[]
Corrupted Psychocat gains more health, double speed and faster attacks. These improvements work together in massively increasing the number of attacks that a Psychocat can expect to land in his lifetime, leading to much more consistent slowing. His use does not change and his lack of area attack is not fixed, but the buff is easily worth the Catfruit.
Talents[]
Target Zombie expands Corrupted Psychocat's use to another trait, making him effective against, notably, Zyclone and Lord Gravey. Unlike the original anti-zombies Weedwacker Cat and Ectoweight Cat, however, he is powerless against unburrowing or reviving zombies, resulting is an overall bad matchup. Defense Buff doesn't drastically increase his survivability, but is helpful regardless. Weaken and Slow Up improve his performance directly, but not by much, with weaken being just a -30% attack power that can override stronger weaken effects and slow being a 25% duration up at best.
Resist Freeze is extremely situational, as Corrupted Psychocat is unlikely to survive hits from most freezing enemies in the first place.
Orb[]
Defense Up against Aliens (or Zombies, if target Zombie is unlocked); any other Orb would be wasted. Note that even a Defense Up Orb against a trait he targets would rarely make a difference, so saving your high level Orbs for other cats is recommended.

Trivia[]
- Psychocat's hairstyle looks nearly identical to that of Koichi "Babel II" Yamano from Babel II, the descendant of an alien who inherits his superhuman intellect and powers.
- Psychocat's hairstyle and outfit both also resemble the eponymous character of the manga Locke the Superman, an extraterrestrial with a variety of psychic powers.
- Psychocat's spoon is a reference to spoon bending, a common theme in magic tricks.
- Neo Psychocat's description is a reference to the battle between Gotenks and Super Buu in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, in the saga Dragon Ball Z. His appearance is basically a Super Saiyan.
- Corrupted Psychocat is a reference to Soldier Blue from Toward the Terra, who has a fairly similar getup including hearing aids and destroyed himself with his own psionic power.
- When counting all three of his forms, Psychocat has the most Pop Culture References of any Cat Unit and is in second place for the most references of any character overall, with Bears Be Back in first place.
