Rathalos is a Special Cat that was added in Version 4.2 and can be unlocked by playing the Event Gacha during Monster Hunter Collaboration Event.

Strategy/Usage

Rathalos is entirely outclassed by Bahamut Cat. Bahamut Cat has higher range and more damage, which are two of the most important stats for a backliner. The only advantages Rathalos has are a marginally higher speed, health and recharge time, a quicker attack rate and a slightly lower cost, which don't add up to make it better than Bahamut Cat. Rathalos also costs much more to upgrade than Bahamut, making it even worse.

Trivia

• In the main Monster Hunter games, Rathalos is a Flying Wyvern monster, its fire breath is one of its main attacks, and it is referred to as the King of the Skies, which may possibly explain its range difference from its similar counterpart, Rathian.
