Rei Ayanami (???) is a Super Rare Cat that can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Neon Genesis Evangelion Collaboration Event.

Strategy/Usage

Use Awakened Ayanami as an anti-Black tank similarly to Fried Shrimp Cat or Kotatsu Cat, having 50% weaken, resistance and already high base health. She is irreplaceable in certain stages such as XP Megablitz! and Black Premonition. Awakened Ayanami is incredibly effective against Director Kurosawah because she can tank many attacks from him, having potential to survive even longer depending on her weaken ability.

While you wouldn't normally use an anti-Black tank because Black enemies have such high DPS, Awakened Ayanami has enough health to be one of the few usable (arguably fantastic) anti-Black tanks. She can even make for a decent generalist early game thanks to her high health. In addition, her low-ish damage is better for stalling, though keep in mind that her range is extremely short when used for anything other than tanking.

Appearance

• Normal: A chibi version of Rei Ayanami from Evangelion with a Cat beside her. The Cat is holding a scythe.
