Strategy/Usage[]
Gladios, like most other Dragon Emperors Ubers, has high cost, health and damage, as well as slow movement speed and attack animation. Gladios has the interesting niche of knocking back and slowing Traitless enemies, which, combined with his durability, makes him effective against Master A. or Dolphina. However, some Traitless enemies such as Henry, Croakley or Mr. Mole are able to keep him at bay making it so he can almost never attack. His attack rate is not low enough to handle more difficult situations as in Procrastinator Parade or Cloned Farmers without serious support from units such as Jagando Jr. and Research Cat Combo supported Stone Cat, so do not use him unless the spam of R.Osts is managable, as in Heaven's Oasis, Beverly Hills Scoop and Fainting Porch.
Still, due to the lack of competition, he still manages to be a very valuable anti-traitless and can prove very useful in most traitless-centred stages, most notably the Crazed/Manic stages and No Return Flights. As a generalist, his high health allows him to stay in the field for a while and deal worthwhile damage, but speed and cost bring him down, so don’t use him outside of his niche unless being slow isn’t too big of an issue in a stage.
True Form[]
The improved health is nice, but the guaranteed knockback and slow is what makes this worth the Catfruit. Nothing else changes, and neither does Gladios' usage. He's either the occasional slower generalist, or a monster to any traitless enemy he is effective on.
Talents[]
Mini-Wave allows Relentless Gladios to hit targets up to 732.5 range away, which is a pretty worthwhile upgrade, considering that his crowd-controlling abilities were already stellar to begin with. Survives is a nice bonus, but is unlikely to come into play, considering he outranges a decent amount of traitless enemies, and has a gargantuan health stat. Cost Down is unlikely to be worth the NP, as while it does bring his cost under 5,000¢, spending 175 NP for that alone is not really worth it.

Trivia[]
- Since several of the other Dragon Emperors appear to have been named after video games, Gladios' name may be a reference to Gradius, which is spelled and pronounced almost the same in Japanese:
- グラディウス Guradiusu (Gradius) → グラディオス Guradiosu (Gladios)
- Relentless Gladios' Japanese title, Kakuryū (角龍, "Horned Dragon"), may be a pun on Ryūkaku-ji (龍角寺), one of the oldest Buddhist temples in eastern Japan.
- Relentless Gladios is the second Dragon Emperor to have a "title" in Normal Form, with the first being High Lord Babel.
- He is also the third Dragon Emperor to have a title after its his in Evolved Form, behind Ganglion the Ancient and Babel the Darkflame.
