Ruthless Tyrant (Insane) is the only stage in The Malevolent Cow, which is unlocked after clearing Mount Aku/Mount Fuji in The Aku Realms. It appears on the 15th of every month. This is a No Continues stage.

Battleground[]

Strategy[]

This stage is more or less similar to Lots O' Lion in that most of the threats aren't all that durable and have very low range, not to mention the Crazed Cow variants having single target. Spammable attackers should be the way to go, although with how much damage they could deal, it's recommended to employ the likes of Boulder Cat so they can't push. You don't need to use Surge Attackers at all, since they generally wouldn't do much here and the Malevolent Lion Cats' Counter-Surge ability can destroy most DPS units easily.

Because of how early the threats tend to spawn, you might want to consider using a Rich Cat. You'll also need something to stop the Brollow from clipping through your units during the boss shockwave.

Recommended Units[]

  • Cameraman Cat - Cameraman is a mid-ranged attacker who's Strong Against Floating and tears up Brollows like paper, while also having a low cost and the ability to Survive a Lethal Strike. This makes her an excellent choice to accumulate DPS.
  • Awakened Bahamut Cat - Bahamut needs a lot of meatshields to work properly, but he can act as a supplementary form of DPS that backs your Area Attackers.
  • Boulder Cat - Boulder has extreme health and very high speed but despawns after one attack. Nevertheless, when the enemies stack up, Boulder will often be your main source of defense while you stack up Area Attackers.
  • Jellycat - Jellycat can fire off powerful Wave Attacks, exploiting the range disadvantage of most enemies in the stage. At level 48 or above, Jellycat's attacks do just enough damage to instantly kill 200% Brollows, and at level 50, it can destroy the Lions' Shields, making things that much easier.
  • Barrel Cat - Barrel Cat is very effective at breaking the Lion's shield with its Shield Pierce. It's Long Distance attacks help it to stay protected and it can survive a few hits and reposition if needed.

Trivia[]

  • Ruthless Tyrant's Japanese name, Raion King (来怨キング), is a pun: 来怨 literally translates to "coming resentment", but also happens to be pronounced raion, the Japanese pronunciation of lion.
  • Ruthless Tyrant is a Merciless stage in BCJP, but is only Insane in BCEN.
  • Prior to Version 13.0, the enemy base had 1,500,000 HP instead of 2,500,000.
