Strategy/Usage
This unit is very strong in Empire of Cats. Later in the game, his stats will be too low for this unit to have any use. His DPS is decent for his cost, but he will always die or get knocked back before any hit lands.
Even with these problems, he could still be seen as worth to buy, as he is part of the Cool Japan Cat Combo, which provides a 15% attack boost to all units, among other Cat Combos
True Form
While Pastry Cat is able to slow non-Metal enemies, it is for only 2 seconds, with a 10% chance. Coupled with Single Target and pathetic range, the only possible use for his Slow is against Red Cyclone, Black Cyclone, White Cyclone and Zyclone, although nearly any Rare or Super Rare alternative can outperform him.
Talents
Unlike most purchasable Special Cats, even his Talents aren't enough to redeem him; his Barrier Breaker and Weaken are just as ineffective as his slow, other Cats who are simply much better at providing those debuffs. Resist Slow is almost useless on a Cat like him. Defense Buff doesn't improve his health enough to make him live any decently strong attacks, while Attack Buff changes nothing when he can only land one or two hits at most.

Trivia
- Knight Cat's evolution into Pastry Cat is explained by a pun in his Japanese descriptions: 菓子道 ("way of the pastry") sounds like 騎士道 ("chivalry"). This pun is also shown in Chivalry and Candy.
- Despite carrying a longer weapon, Samurai Cat has a shorter attack range compared to his other forms.
- A character known as Samurai Cat appears in Battle Cats Quest, though that Samurai Cat bears no resemblance beyond name to this Samurai Cat.
