Shinji & Cat (Rare Cat)

Not to be confused with Shinji Cat.

Shinji & Cat is a Rare Cat that can be unlocked when beating any stage in Evangelion Activates! during the Neon Genesis Evangelion Collaboration Event. They were added in Version 6.10. True Form added in Version 8.7.5 gains increased health and damage, resistance against Aliens and Zombies and Zombie Killer.

Evolution

Evolves into Plug Suit Shinji at level 10.

Evolves into Plug Suit Shinji Black when obtained from the Unit-13 Strikes! (may be dropped on the first stage but guaranteed on the second stage) and is level 20 or above.

Strategy/Usage

Shinji & Cat is a decent starting cat for killing Eva Angels with slow attack speed. However, Angels such as Sachiel outrange and attack before Shinji can attack, in addition to knocking him back, thus he won't be able to attack them. While weak, his Cat Combo with Kaworu & Cat is phenomenal, but is unfortunately only useful during the event.

Outside of Eva Angel enemies, this Cat won't be used for much. Due to its short range of 160, the best Shinji & Cat can do is boost your User Rank, as they are not spammable enough to be meatshields.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A teenage boy with a sad look wearing a white shirt and black jeans. He is followed by a Cat.
• Evolved Form: Shinji is now wearing a plug suit (to link him to an Eva), not to mention a determined look on his face. The Cat following him is now dressed up like his Eva, Eva Unit-01.
• True Form: Shinji now wears a black plug suit, while the Cat is now dressed as Unit-13.
