Strategy[]

The main issue of this stage is buffed Aliens protecting Spacefish Jones with crazy strong Zang Roos to dig under and reach your backliners. Not to mention that each Zang Roo has a staggering 24.7k DPS. With fighting strong enemies with zombies burrowing, this becomes an endurance stage. This stage requires high levels and strong ubers (around the Lv.45 mark, Talents if at Lv.40).

Ideally, you would use any cat you have with high DPS and enough range to take out the enemies. The use of a Rich Cat is recommended as you want to send out your Units quickly to keep your ground. And of course, you need to hope for those Z-Kills so you actually kill the enemy and receive the cash. A high leveled Can Can Cat with the Double Bounty talent also helps with getting money.

Two meatshields should be enough, but when the wave of Zang Roos arrive, you need crowd-controllers against the Zang Roos, like Weedwacker Cat and Housewife Cat. If you are using any ubers with a long recharge, send them out later to take care of the spam so they don't die in an earlier part of the level.

Of course, we can't just ignore the aliens. Use Seafarer Cat for its freeze, DPS, and survivability. Slime Cat may help in the beginning with doing Wave damage, but becomes useless when fighting the Zang Roos. Cadaver BearCat can do a lot of damage, but requires support with a unit that freezes Zombies.

It is also recommended to use Holy Blast to unburrow the Zang Roos.

Recommended Ubers[]

  • Eva Unit-01: Strong vs both Alien and Zombie and helps out a lot with damage.
  • Aphrodite: Massive Damage to Aliens and Long Distance attacks, may do lots of damage to Spacefish Jones.
  • Mitama the Oracle: Lots of survivability with constant slow procs, definitely helps against the Zang Roos.
  • Subterra Sentinels: Good DPS against zombies with freeze procs and high survivability. Soulstrike talent can help with damaging the Zang Roos that were not Z-killed.
  • Eternal Reika does massive damage to both Aliens and Zombies. Be careful with her though, as she doesn't exactly have the highest health.

Strategy 1 (4 Crown)[]

Lineup: Catellite 50+18, Shigong Cat 50+9, Jellycat 50, Cadaver BearCat 50, Courier Cat 50, Awakened Bahamut Cat 50

Cannon: Thunderbolt

Notes:

  • This strategy follow fairly precise timing and a good amount of luck.
  • The first 4 slots are going to be combos. This strategy follows an Attack UP (S) and a Research up (S) and no Uber combos.
  • If you have the best combos, you may be able to defeat Spacefish Jones as the first Zang Roo comes back up.
  • Thunderbolt used is at level 30, though it isn't particularly useful.
  • You may find it better to use Holyblast.
  • This strategy can work on 1 crown with small adjustments to compensate for Awakened Bahamut Cat's lower level.
  • Holyblast foundation is recommended, but not needed.

Wait until you have 1400¢, then send out Jellycat, immediately followed by 3 Catellites. Spacefish Jones should spawn and trigger his attack, but miss. Send out Awakened Bahamut Cat as soon as possible, then one more Catellite. Ideally, Spacefish Jones get knocked back twice, leaving him with enough health to get chipped down with Jellycat and Catellite. If this doesn't happen, consider the run lost. Level up your wallet twice, and save up money.

Lure Zang Roo to your base, then send out Shigong, Jellycat, and Cadaver BearCat at the same time. One of these should hit Zang Roo, and posibly knockback Zang Roo back. Spam all your units except Catellite (and combo slaves). Once Zang Roo is dead, stop spamming Cadaver BearCat and spam Catellite until another Zang Roo is nearby. You should be able to push up to Spacefish Jones and kill him and Corporal Weyland. You are not out of the woods yet however.

Push as far as you can to trigger the Zang Roo's burrow early. Keep spamming all your units. At this point, Awakened Bahamut Cat and your Cat Cannon should be off cooldown. Send him out when the Zang Roo's are pretty well stacked or if your cannon is off cooldown as well. Most of the Zang Roos should die or be Z-killed, and that should make it easy enough to pick them off one by one. Once all the Zang Roo's are dead, you win.

Trivia[]

  • Going along with the theme of meat and cooking in Rose-Colored Road, the tongues are presumably speechless because they have been separated from the body and cooked.
  • This is the only stage in Uncanny Legends to feature Hyppoh.
