Steel Visage (Deadly) is a guerrilla stage that drops Cat Tickets. When clearing, either 2 or 3 Cat Tickets will be dropped. Facing Danger can only be beaten once per appearance, but stays on for 12 hours every time it appears.

Battleground[]

  • When the base reaches 99% HP:
    • 1 CyberFace spawns as the boss.
    • 50 Doges spawn, delay 2~6 seconds60f~180f.

Strategy[]

This stage is like a puzzle, simple and quick, with the difficulty laying in knowing how to "solve" it.

One of the simplest answers is to summon Catornado (optionally with a Critical chance up combo), as one Critical from even a mid-level Catornado is capable of killing the CyberFace. As a matter of fact, nearly any Critical Hitter is able to OHKO CyberFace provided their Crit ability activates; the only one that can't at level 30 is Million-Dollar Cat, who has to deal two hits if below level 45.

A better way involves the following: summon an ideally fast cat (Stone Cat>Maglev Cat>Crazed Cow Cat>Cow Cat); once this unit dies and CyberFace advances, intercept it with a meatshield while close to the base and follow by summoning as many Critical Hitters you own once CyberFace's next wave passes your base, or just one Critical Hitter with 100% chance. If the Critical Hitter has 100% Crit chance and a fast enough attack (Sunny Neneko, Million-Dollar Cat), you may use this unit to intercept CyberFace directly, instead of using a meatshield. The leftover spaces in your army can be used for either a failsafe measure or Combos to speed up the process or make success more likely.

Of course, there are some different approaches that can be taken in case one doesn't have a unit with 100% Crit chance, but wishes to beat the stage consistently every time. Some include:

  • Cheesing the stage by using the Cat Cannon to allow a unit to clip through CyberFace's Hitbox and destroy the base (needs timing and practice, also good Combos to have the Cannon ready).
  • Using a Wave Shield with some range and many meatshields, then just taking out CyberFace one hit at a time, or using wave-immune attackers and meatshields directly. You can also "snipe" CyberFace's Wave Attack with a Wave Shield to ensure that your Critters don't get obliterated by timing them.

Strategy 1 (ft. Waitress)[]

Lineup: Waitress Cat, a rusher (≤50 speed, preferably Power Cutter for easiest timing), and any useful Combos and/or units.

This strategy's timing is relatively forgiving and extremely simple so if your timing is just average, you'll probably still be able to land this 100% of the time. Start off with a Waitress Cat and time your rusher to hit the base as Waitress is playing her attack animation on the base (if Waitress hits the base, just soft reset as Waitress will not attack CyberFace in time, unless you want to try to get another Waitress out). As long as your rusher hits the base as Waitress is playing her backswing animation, the timing will be just in time for CyberFace to miss its attack because of the boss wave and Waitress to get a Crit before it can attack again. Enjoy your free Cat Tickets!

Note: Any rushers with >50 speed may stop CyberFace from reaching close enough to Waitress for her to start her attack before its deadly wave procs. This strategy also takes ~30 seconds to kill CyberFace without Cat Combos, ~20 with Starting Money Up combos, and ~45 seconds to clear the whole stage with Cat Combos and other rusher units. This strategy is not meant for speed but rather consistency.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to Version 6.7, Facing Danger had no limit on how many times it could be cleared per appearance, making energy the only limiting factor in one's ability to farm it. The drop rewards at the time were a 70% chance for 1 Cat Ticket and a 30% chance for 2 Cat Tickets; they were increased by 1 each to make up for the reduced farmability.
  • In The Battle Cats Unite!, Steel Visage costs 300 energy, has no clear limit and drops 2 or 3 Rare Cat Tickets. However, it is only available for 1 hour at a time.
