THE FOLIVOREAN (超棘獣ナマケモルガ, Chō Togejū Namakemoruga, Super Thorn-Beast Namakemoruga) is an Aku/Behemoth variant of THE SLOTH that appears in Legend Stages.
Surprisingly fast for a sloth, with speed somehow surpassing Elder Sloth. A weak Shield offers it a moment's protection, immunity to Waves guards it from Crazed Sexy Legs Cat and Jellycat, and spikes from its tail hit three times and occasionally freeze Cats for a few seconds. Its multi-hits are fired in a rapid succession, with decreasing coverage that reaches up to 500px; the third hit has a range of 350~500, so units within that area will suffer the most damage unless knocked back.
Strategy[]
Most of the time, it acts as a backliner like its othervariants, but its Wave immunity makes it harder to snipe. Fortunately, its relatively slow attack rate and very weak shield reduces the threat it poses. Courier Cat is a great unit to use, as it can chip it down or destroy it if unprotected. It's also able to tank two hits at a high enough level or a single hit from a 200% one. If you own Fiend Cat, he can also help with his Long Distance knockbacks against Aku threats, as well as being able to tank hits if his Tough Vs Talent has been unlocked. Most tanky low-ranged units like Can Can Cat and Crazed Whale Cat still work, but that's only if this enemy is unprotected.
Above everything, do not let it reach your Cat Base, as it can easily inflict extreme damage as soon as it gets within 500 range due to all of the damage being concentrated in an area 350-500 distance ahead of it.
A powerful Behemoth that became demonic as a result of losing its home. It does not enjoy the trees of the jungle it finds itself in. Can fire spikes from its tail that Freeze all movement.
The strongest and most ferocious of the beasts became a Devil after its place of refuge fell victim to deforestation. In the jungle where it has ended up, it can't find any trees suited to its liking, and is now on a violent rampage. It ejects spikes from its tail to stop others' movement.

Trivia[]
THE FOLIVOREAN's name is derived from the word folivore, meaning a herbivore that specializes in eating leaves.
Its attack animation is a reference to Monster Hunter's Nargacuga, a Flying Wyvern that can eject spikes from its tail. Its blue fur resembles that of Fiercewater Nargacuga from the spin-off Monster Hunter Explore, while its Freeze ability could be inspired by Green Nargacuga or Lucent Nargacuga, whose tail slam attacks Stun those hit (the latter only in Monster Hunter: Rise).
Its Japanese name, Namakemoruga, is a portmanteau of Namarukemoruru (THE SLOTH's Japanese name) and Nargacuga.
