Strategy/Usage[]
Cats in a Box is very helpful for beginners; summon them alongside/in place of Cow Cat to deliver a burst of damage to the frontlines. This unit is not so much a replacement of something like Cow Cat, it's instead a unit to get in when the enemy is idle. Think of it as an early-game Maglev Cat. Past early-game, though, the stats of this unit are underwhelming. This causes the cat to be massively underpowered by the time one finishes Empire of Cats. Crazed Cow Cat and Maglev Cat are much better alternatives, who should be used in place of this unit. This unit still has a couple of good combos, so they could still have a chance in any formation.
True Form[]
By the time Heavy Assault C.A.T. is unlocked, their stats have long fallen behind, making them completely useless. Their weaken ability doesn't do much to falter Black enemies as a whole since it can't kill them outright. Serious use should only be considered if talents are factored in.
Talents[]
Through the massive damage and attack buff Talents, this unit becomes much more powerful. Their damage is increased by more than seven times, turning this unit from a weak debuffer to something closer to a mini-Yukimura. However, their low range and somewhat low attack frequency means against black peons, they are outclassed by Pizza, a more consistent solution overall outside of 4-crown Legend Stages, even if they outrange such enemies. Instead, Heavy Assault C.A.T. should be used on bigger threats who hit from a range or bosses, allowing them to get in safely and deal a lot of damage (examples include Black Okame), utilizing its high speed to its advantage. Even against non-Blacks, if properly boosted, Heavy Assault C.A.T. can act as a solid rusher unit, with better range and recharge than most and Area Attacks. Defense buff and Catseyes are also to be considered, as its stats affect the amount of impact it can realistically make before it is destroyed. In this respect, their weaken ability is especially helpful, as they allow the unit to live much longer than expected when it comes into play.
Resist Slow and Weaken Immune can be safely ignored, as blacks rely mostly on brute force and little on special abilities. They are only helpful in mixed stages, and even then, it would be wise to spend the NP elsewhere.
