Dioramos (Uber Rare Cat)

Dioramos is an Uber Rare Cat that can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Lords of Destruction Dragon Emperors event. True Form added in Version 5.9 grants improved attack power, range, health, the Barrier Breaker ability, and increases knockback and slow chance to 100%. Ultra Form added in Version 13.0 further increases health, attack power, attack frequency and gains the Alien target, Multi-Hit and Long Distance. Talents were added in Version 9.10.

Strategy/Usage

Dioramos' great HP, DPS and the ability to knockback and slow angels makes him a Tanker, Crowd Controller and Backliner in one, but he's held back by his slow speed and skyhigh cost. Although Dioramos has massive HP, he should still be protected properly like any other Uber. On another note, his HP can come into play when enemies push, stalling them for a while. Aside from that, his attack deals enough damage to knock many pushers back, prolonging his life, especially against Angels.

Dioramos' Slow Immunity helps against enemies such as Queen B, Croakley and Daboo of the Dead, ignoring their effect and proceeding towards them. Although his slow movement speed is a drawback in many occasions, it can be an effective tool on Zombie stages: while the frontline makes the Zombies burrow, Dioramos can pick them off once they resurface, note that this is rarely useful except for stages like Parade of the Dead.

True Form

God-Emperor Dioramos gains increased stats, guaranteed Knockback, Slow & Barrier Breaker. Besides range, all boosts have improved his overall performance by a decent margin. He can now consistently control his targets, especially those with high pushing power like Angelic Sleipnir, Angelic Gory, Boraphim, Divine Cyclone and Winged Pigge, or do a rather good job as a tanky generalist. God-Emperor Dioramos shines against Youcan and St. Dober, having stats and abilities to greatly reduce their threat. Besides Youcan though, he falls back compared to many other Anti-Alien units, so using him against Aliens is not recommended.

Talents

From all of God-Emperor Dioramos' Talents, Strengthen seems the most promising, giving 50% more damage at half health, which should synergise well with his gargantuan health. However, Dioramos has only two knockbacks, which means for his Strengthen to activate, Dioramos must be at his last knockback. This is worsened by Dioramos' very long foreswing. In non-Angel stages, Dioramos might not contribute enough extra damage before death to justify the NP cost, so it is better spent elsewhere. Weaken Resist is made to counter Winged Pigge, but even at max upgrade, Dioramos will still get perma-weakened by her. Not worth the investment. Freeze Resist and stat increases are alright, the former makes Dioramos usable in stages with Henry, while the latter grants Dioramos quite the boost.

Ultra Form

With the addition of Ultra Forms, Dioramos is finally given the stats he needs to properly contribute to the team. For starters, his health is boosted to a beefy 568,320 HP with Defense Buff, and a gargantuan 215,040 damage and 21,013 DPS, which is boosted to 31,519 DPS when strengthened, which is near double of a strengthened Almighty Ganesha at the same level, completely obliterating anything in his path. His brand new Long Distance now helps in piercing past the frontline to take care of backliners such as Angelic Sleipnir or Project A. While his issues of speed, cost, and cooldown remain the same, the stats buffs alone make getting this form worth it.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Looks like a large dragon with many similar features to Bahamut Cat, one of which is a Cat encrypted onto its chest. There is a gem shaped like an emerald stuck into one of its arms. It also has large ferocious claws, sharp tusks and demonic wings with a decently sized tail.
• Evolved Form: Looks like a large dragon with many similar features to Crazed Bahamut, one of which is the now-crazed Cat on its chest. It has larger wings, tusks, and the emerald-shaped gem becomes darker. Its decently sized tail now has spikes. When attacking, head, chest and gem glow in blue, as well as its tail.
• True Form: Now has dark black skin and lava/fire on lots of its body parts, with piercing red eyes. The spikes on its head have grown larger and have fire on their tip. The tail is somewhat larger and grows a couple more spikes. Also, the gem is seemingly scooped out and completely engulfed in fire.
• Ultra Form: Now with more of a volcanic-like dragon. His wings now are burning with lava along with his tail, body. His entire body is now smoking, too.

Trivia

• His design greatly resembles one of Godzilla's greatest enemies: Destoroyah. In addition, they both have the ability to shoot energy beams out of their mouths.
• Dioramos is probably named after PONOS's other game made for PlayStation.
• Dioramos is the 3rd most expensive unit in the game at 6,600¢ in Chapter 2. He only loses to High Lord Babel at 6,750¢ as well as Killer Cat and Killer Tank Cat at 7,500¢.
• This is the first and only Dragon Emperor to have his attack power increased in Evolved Form.
