Strategy[]

As you can only use Normal, Uber and Legend Rare Cats, the only options here are to rely on the latter two rarities and win (which is highly dependent on which Ubers/Legend Rares you've obtained), use high-level Normal Cats (at least level 20+40 is recommended assuming no Uber support, and Cat Combos may still be necessary), or both.

The main thing to look out for is the support of the Doge and Roo variants. Wahwah's constant knockback and swift multi-hits allow both himself and his peons to easily waltz over to your base, due in no small part to his extremely large area of effect. You will need to find a means of keeping the king at bay while lasting long enough that the support begins to dry up, at which point you can whittle down Wahwah without much worry.

Recommended Ubers[]

The following Uber Rares are good for this stage, and if you have any of these, using them will make things easier.

Noting how there are three traits (Black, Alien and Zombie) as well as the limited unit pool to choose from, the Recommended Ubers section will contain Ubers that have been shown to help against a specific trait. Units that are Strong or do Massive Damage are recommended, as the longer they're at your base, the less room you will have since Wahwah will continuously knock your units back. The more disposable they are, the smaller the gap in your defenses when they do get destroyed.

  • Generalist Ubers: Ubers that can either help against more than one trait and/or help against Wahwah. These may vary depending on how they could be used.
  • Ganglion: Strong against Zombies/Aliens + Zombie Killer, just watch your money and his Long Distance.
  • Gravolo: Anti-Alien tank with a somewhat fast cooldown and powerful Wave Attacks that could reach Wahwah by hitting the peons. If supported properly by Catseyes and "Unit Attack UP" Combos, it could knock Wahwah back in just one or two hits for you to regain ground. A level 40 Gravolodon deals just shy of that amount (39820<40000), so it can be pulled off with even a single damage Combo.
  • Eva Unit-01: Another Anti-Zombie/Alien + Zombie Killer, can be used as a substitute for or in conjunction with Ganglion.
  • Mighty Lord Gao: Universal Strong ability against all traited enemies. Take note that he does not have Zombie Killer and can be a cash sink.
  • Shadow Gao: Deals massive damage to Traitless enemies, briefly freezes them, and is immune to knockback. Best used at the start before the peons arrive to cripple the boss due to his extreme cost and recharge time.
  • Divine Kai: Divine Kai's disposability, knockback immunity, massive base HP and high burst damage at point-blank range allow her to nearly carry the stage, being able to solo Wahwah without his support. Since the Kang Roo variants don't come often, she can also be used to pick them off.
  • The Peach Devils: Can rush up to King Wahwah and deal decent chip damage while lasting long enough with their decent HP.
  • Cat Machine Mk 3: With the knockback immunity Talent, Cat Machine Mk 3 can absorb many hits and stall Wahwah, while dealing great damage. Its recharge time is also relatively short for a tank, allowing more to be sent over the same timeframe and reducing the chances of Wahwah overwhelming you.
  • Cats in the Cradle: High spammability combined with great attack power, always dealing enough damage at minimal level to knock Wahwah back and two-shot Ottas (or one-shot if both the wave and the initial attack connect), while also helping chip away at the other peons. True Form is necessary for it to have an impact, so that it can clear peons while still dealing great damage to Wahwah.
  • King Gamereon: His low speed and naturally high HP allows him to stay in the backline after getting knocked back by Wahwah, ensuring a good defense against the peons, even outside of his targeted traits.
  • Iz The Dancer Of Grief: A very helpful unit to own for this stage her powerful anti-traitless attacks can knockback WahWah with every hit. She also has zombie killer and knockback immunity. If she dies she can easily be replaced with her short cooldown.
  • Bloody Jack: He already is quite helpful due to being able to push against the alien/zombie threats of this stage, but he also helps quite a bit against Wahwah himself, due to him being able to rush in before Wahwah starts an attack and angle-grind a big chunk of his HP off.

Trivia[]

  • Since King Wahwah's Japanese description reveals him to be part of a manzai comedy duo with Mistress Celeboodle, N-1 Grand Prix is likely named after the M-1 Grand Prix, the most prevalent manzai competition in Japan. The "N" presumably stands for nyan, meaning "meow", while the "1" sounds like wan, meaning "woof".
    • It is also possible - albeit less likely - that N-1 Grand Prix is a reference to the N1 Grand Prix in the MegaMan Battle Network series. In both the games and anime, this is a battle tournament between powerful Navis and Operators.
  • N-1 Grand Prix and Dogsville are the only two initial Advent Stages to have restrictions.
