Strategy/Usage[]
Wheel Cat is fairly spammable and can be easily stacked to deal huge damage to Alien enemies. This power comes at a cost, however: his range. Against unstarred Aliens, Wheel Cat's usage is extremely limited due to many of them outranging Wheel Cat. His best unstarred Alien matchups are against three alien peons, Cyberhorn, Nimoy Bore, (though you may want to Slow or Freeze him) and LeMurr, given you have protection up front.
When it comes to Starred Aliens, this unit has a brighter spotlight. He outranges every single peon (though his True Form may be required for some) and can enter the blind spots of Corporal Weyland, Ribbo and Gardeneel Bros., plus he can deal good damage to Le'Solar, Spacefish Jones and Axoloty when they aren't attacking. The only regular foes he may not be as useful against are Project A and Youcan.
His limited range makes him a poor choice in stages without Aliens, and the long recharge time coupled with its mediocre stats for its cost makes it inefficient. It's recommended to get this unit's True Form for Cats of the Cosmos but not Into the Future due to poor many matchups against regular Aliens.
True Form[]
Chill Cat gains 30 more range, increased damage and lowered recharge time. The biggest improvement is recharge time, being able to be stacked more efficiently. The range increase however does not improve its matchup against Scissoroo, as outranging an enemy by 1 is rather inconsistent, however it's a good improvement because it can now much more reliably outrange Alien enemies that were harder for it to attack, such as General GreGory and Star Peng. The improved damage allows him to amount higher DPS against Aliens, although this also means you will have to watch your cash more closely unless you have gotten the Cost Down talent.
All in all, this is a very potent, but situational attacker in Cats of the Cosmos and some of Uncanny Legends, but don't expect to use him often in Into the Future and Stories of Legend. His most viable uses overall are against Alien peon spam, Star Peng, Kid Tappa, General GreGory, Mesocosmocyclone and Cyberhorn, all of which he can decimate if you stack enough.
Talents[]
Talents make this unit way more powerful and viable, due to low cost and better stats, but do not fix the range issue, leaving Chill Cat to be a rather situational and hard to use unit. Do not unlock his knockback Talent because you'll push Aliens away and oftentimes they are accompanied by backliner-class Enemies. If you wish for a better unit that can knockback Aliens, Racquet Cat is a better unit.
HP up is fairly standard: unlock it if your Chill Cat is close to surviving a hit from an enemy that you see often. Cost Down makes this unit significantly safer to use, minimizing the investment, but money can still be drained quickly, so caution is advised. Attack Up is also a great talent for this unit to have, as it further increases its effectiveness against aliens, though it alone won't make a difference, so make sure that Chill Cat is properly high level.
Orb[]
Ideally, use a massive damage up for Aliens. Health up against Aliens can also be worth considering, as it may give him the ability to reach a longer range Alien while tanking a hit, or survive long enough in general to attack more. Anything else would be a waste.

Trivia[]
- Wheel Cat is based on wanyūdo, a yōkai that appears as the head of a tormented man trapped within a burning oxcart wheel. This is why he's included in Paranormal Activity.
- Prior to version 3.0 of The Battle Cats, he lacked his anti-Alien ability.
- In The Battle Cats POP! it mentions of dealing damage against aliens, however, there are no aliens present in this version.
- It also has two sprite sheets in the game, one being unused as it seems to be bugged.
