A variant of Teacher Bear, Teacher Cybear's long-ranged, non-stop attacks are strong enough to kill all but cats with Metal ability (Metal Cat & Glass Cat) and lethal strike survivors with one hit. Thankfully, its attacks are single-target, meaning that its debut stage can be beaten just by spamming meatshields. Its paltry health pool of 50 does not do anything to help this. KEEP IT AWAY FROM YOUR BASE AT ALL COSTS.
It has its left (attacking) arm replaced with a metal arm, presumably to increase damage. The right side of its upper head is also covered with metal, its eyes are green, and it has a plate to protect where it HURTS. Swiping its claw arm releases a sonic wave that slams one unit at a time.
Bring LOTS of meat shields, at the price of $150 or less, such as: Mohawk Cat, Pumpcat, So-Ran Cat, Gato Amigo, or Catburger. And since Cybear is a single-target attacker, your meatshields can sometimes reach Cybear and deal damage too.
Make sure you have a Hacker Cat, because it outranges Cybear and costs less than cats like Megaphrodite. Any other cat won't work, because you have to continuously spam the living crap out of your meat shields to stall the Cybear, and Hacker Cat costs $3750, so you have to stop meatshielding for a bit to raise money. Just keep spamming 2 $75 Cats while raising money. Cybear will almost reach your base, but you can send him out before he reaches it. When you send out Hacker Cat, you can continuously spam your meatshields until he dies. Note: Ineffective Strategy.
So, technically, here's the layout: (Front) Mohawk Cat, Crazed Macho Cat, Eraser Cat , Crazed Wall Cat, Hacker Cat. (Back) Gato Amigo, So-Ran Cat, Catburger, Nekokkuma, Pumpcat. Note: Hacker isn't too useful, bring 5 of any other above.
Alternatively, Metal Cat can be used to sponge lots of hits from Cybear. You don't even need to bring anything other than meatshields, Just drop Metal Cat and meatshields as quickly as you can and you are guaranteed a win against Cybear before long!
Teacher Bear received experimental cybernetic implants for more powerful, efficient education. His lessons are now too intense for children and he had to find work at a trade college.
Although Teacher Cybear has immense attack range (800), it is a single-target enemy. So just spam enough meatshields and you will reach him eventually. Metal Cat is a great help in the stage, just let Metal Cat tank all the damage and let your cats do the work.
Time between attacks
800 (single target)
(only takes 1 damage per attack)
*In each stage, there is strength magnification, the value of health and attack power varies due to this value.
*Time between attacks is the time of the attack from the motion end until the next attack motion start.
Teacher Cybear has the second highest attack power and the highest DPS out of all enemies at 100% strength magnification, the first one being Filibuster Obstructa
This enemy has some interesting history, as he was one of the few unimplemented enemies, besides Professor A., to actually go unused for a certain amount of time. Both of them soon got added. Professor A. (or "Bloodsucker") in 5.5, and Teacher Cybear in 8.0.
Cybear is a play-on word with Cyber and bear.
