Techn-Old Hyena (テク・ノロ爺, Teku・Noro-jiji, Tech Nolo-jiji) is a Starred Alien/Sage variant of H. Nah introduced in Secluded Cavy Island.

Enemy

He has lower range and attack power than a 200% Red EnerG (370/13,580 > 350/12,022), but hits up to 390 range with his Omni Strikes and trades the knockback ability for a guaranteed chance to warp cats back by 1,200 range for almost 17 seconds. In addition to having the usual status resistances of Sages, he is immune to Curse and duplicates any Surges hitting him.

Trivia

• His Japanese name, Tech Nolo-jiji, is a pun on technology and 爺 jiji, meaning "grandpa" or "old man" and similar in usage to the English words geezer and gramps.
• The first-person pronoun he uses in his Japanese description, washi (ワシ), is mainly used by men in Western Japan and stereotypical old men or Kansaian characters in fiction.
• His hairstyle and mustache are reminiscent of Albert Einstein. His Alien trait and Warp ability could allude to Einstein's theory of relativity, while the fact that he is a variant of H. Nah may be a subtle reference to Einstein's formula for mass-energy equivalence, E=mc^2, as H. Nah's Japanese name is High Energy (ハイ・エナジー). Lastly, the electricity in his attack animation combined with the participation trophy in his description could refer to how Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect.
  • He also faintly resembles Karol Pollak and Charles Algernon Parsons, both of which would fit with the electricity in his attack animation, but Albert Einstein is the closest match.
