Battle Cats Wiki

The Ururuvu Journals (ウルルブ島滞在記, Ururubutō Taizaiki, Ururubu Island Travelogue) is the 4th sub-chapter of Zero Legends, and the 102nd sub-chapter overall. It was introduced in Version 12.4 and is available up to 1♛ difficulty. Each of its stages has Ururun Wolf as a boss, buffed to have 300% health and 500% attack power.

All stages here are very problematic, especially the last one. The player will encounter again Ururun Wolf accompanied by tough peons as well as enemies with Counter-Surge, making the usage of Surge units dangerous.

  • The Ururuvu Journals' Japanese name, Ururubutō Taizaiki ("Ururubu Island Travelogue") is a direct reference to the popular Japanese travel show Sekai Ururun Taizaiki ("World Ururun Travelogue"), in which a TV personality has to stay with a local family abroad for a week.
    • It is also a reference to JTB Publishing's "Rurubu" travel magazine, the most widely-sold travel guide series in the world.
    • It additionally may have been inspired by the South Korean island Ulleungdo, whose Hanja name (鬱陵島) can be read as "Ururundo" in Japanese.
  • The Ururuvu Journals is the first and currently only sub-chapter to have 4 stages.
  • Ururun Wolf in this sub-chapter is the first enemy in a non-event stage to have separate health and attack magnifications.
