The White Rabbit (Uber Rare Cat)

The White Rabbit is an Uber Rare Cat that was added in Version 4.2 and can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Dark Heroes event. True Form added in Version 6.10 has a 100% chance to knockback and weaken Red and Alien enemies. Talents were added in Version 10.5. Ultra Form added in Version 13.4 increases health, attack power and frequency and gains Strong Against, Slow, Sage Slayer, Multi-Hit and Long Distance, and removes the Knockback ability.

Strategy/Usage

Regardless of her forms, her range and stats lend herself to generalist usage, though she is still not all that great at being a generalist backliner. You can take advantage of her long range and use her against tanky ranged enemies like Le'boin, Le'noir, Le'Solar and THE SLOTH to chip away damage.

If you manage to get this cat early on, use her in Into the Future, as all of her forms give you a wide variety of abilities against Aliens. Additionally, she outranges both Corrupted Valkyrie and Raging Bahamut. Her anti-Alien abilities can continue to be useful in Cats of the Cosmos.

Normal Form

The White Rabbit is effective in stalling armies of Red and Alien enemies, allowing your other cat units to slowly finish them off. It is best not to rely on her if the target is fast and short ranged, like Shy Boy or (Nimoy) Bore, as other stallers (Surfer Cat, Witch Cat etc.) tend to offer better crowd control; rather, White Rabbit shines as support for such units or against messier situations, like a stage such as Berserk and Unjust War, or stages with a variety of Aliens. Her good health and many knockbacks will allow her to stand around long enough to make a difference. In endgame, this form falls a bit behind due to her low uptime, which tends not to be enough in truly difficult stages.

Evolved Form

The Black Cat can be used to deal decent damage to Aliens and Reds. Use of this form is not highly recommended as her initial DPS is low, but her range and resilience may result in a satisfying performance against certain medium-good ranged foes, namely Corrupted Valkyrie. Note that this form still faces competition from her own first form, whose slow has a tendency to be preferable more often than not.

True Form

The Grey Fox can be used in a similar manner to her Normal Form, in being able to control hordes of Alien or Red enemies who can't be controlled too well. The abilities allow her to push everything back, regaining precious terrain in stages where slow tug of war-like battles happen, all while weakening the initial "charge-back" of the knocked back enemies. Ideal situations in which to use this feature are rare, plus such a unit only really works in armies with lots of disposable units at the core. She synergizes badly with most other Ubers.

Ultra Form

With her range and stats at level 60, The Spectral Cat becomes a solid generalist attacker, even more solid when against Red and Alien enemies. However, her multi-hit LD attacks and somewhat slow attack rate can put a hamper on her DPS, especially when her attacks are split into multiple ranges and only overlap in 385-466 range.

Regardless, even enemies taking a single attack will be slowed and weakened for almost 5 seconds, which is impressive crowd-controlling on top of her solid performance for her range. In addition, she gets the new Sage Slayer ability, which is useful against Doctor K.O. and Techn-Old Hyena, being able to prevent them from pushing as hard alongside dealing even more damage to them.

Talents

Immune to Warp offers a situational advantage against some Starred Aliens, making her better in presence of Everlord Wanwan, Gardeneel Bros. or Project A. Due to her not needing much damage for a knockback, however, it'll rarely come into play. Similarly, Curse Immunity can be useful in stages that combine Relics with Red/Alien enemies, as well as those stages featuring the Relic Doge Base. However, these stages are rather sparse and her range lets her avoid many Relics anyway.

Cost Down, Defense Buff and Attack Buff are basic general improvements, the benefits of which should be clear. It is worth noting that Gray Fox is not exactly a combat unit though, making it so the NP is often better spent on other units. These talents do little to fix her problems, but they may be worth sparing a thought for if you are lacking units with such good range.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A girl with glasses and long hair, wearing mainly white body armor (resembling a bunny rabbit) and carrying a CETME-L and a MAC-11 with a Cat's face. Attacks by leaping and firing mid-air before landing and reloading her weapons.
• Evolved Form: The girl's setup is now black with cat ears instead of rabbit ears. She now looks like a black cat. She replaces the CETME-L and MAC-11 with laser pistols that also brandish Cat faces. Her attack animation remains the same.
• True Form: She wears a plain grey uniform along with a military hat, a headband that resembles fox ears, and a jacket used as cape, while having some purple details on headband(s), upper abdomen, sleeves of jacket and high heels. Her hair is tied in a ponytail foxtail.
• Ultra Form: Her appearence is now a mix of the white and black color palette of her previous forms, with a tinge of blue added, while also leaning back into the cat theming from her evolved form, such as the cat ears and tail. She also ditches the jacket and gains even bulkier pistols.

• Prior to Version 4.7, The White Rabbit was a part of three other Cat Combos: Merchant + Courier, Cosplayers and Tortoise and Hare.
• Her Normal Form may be a reference to the song of the same name by Jefferson Airplane.
• Her second form is very likely a reference to Catwoman from the Batman series, as she and Catman are in the same set.
