- Together with Bikura, Harbor of Evil, Toy Boat Graveyard's Japanese name of "Ponpon Ship Graveyard" may be a reference to Bikkura Pon, a game playable at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.
- The word ponpon (ポンポン) is an onomatopoeia similar to "boom" or "bang".
