Strategy/Usage[]
Himeyuri has access to a top "Research" effect UP Combo Kimono Champs, which is one of only three Research Up L combos in the game. She is also extremely useful against Floating and Angel enemies due to the fact that she has a a near-guaranteed chance to slow them for a long time. She excels at keeping Teacher Bun Bun, and other Floating Enemies ranging below 400 at bay, however as with the rest of the set, beware her multihit. This is because her multihit may sometimes interrupt high-KB enemies and fail to proc and CC them, with relevant examples including Angelic Gory and Li'l Bun Bun; this may cause Himeyuri to fall off until you get her Talents, where she sees new light in Uncanny Legends. Unfortunately, her main Angel niche is replaced by Sanzo Cat as he has an identical set of abilities and is stackable. This limits Himeyuri's non-relic usage to a few things:
- Kimono Champs in 4♛ stages
- As a failsafe in case Sanzo doesn't proc
- As a DPS unit, as she has very good damage even for an Uber
- As an Uber CC unit if Sanzo is outranged in the cases of Winged Pigge and Angelic Sleipnir and their own relevant stages. Overall, her usage is not to be denied as situationally useful albeit replaced after unlocking the Talented powercreep.
Talents[]
Target Relic and Curse Immune allow Fox Queen Himeyuri to control Relics while attacking them. Those talents cost lots of NP, but they are worth it due to the lack of non-Uber crowd-controllers who work against Relic enemies. Her range of 445 gives her usage against many tough targets, including Primeval Cyclone, M. Ost, and even Relic Bun-Bun.
As she has strong stats for her range, Attack Buff and Defense Buff can be considered, though Attack Buff takes priority here. This is after Catseyes have already been used.
Finally, she has Resist Freeze, which is only situational. It can be used against Henry and perhaps even Golem Sunfish, though they would still not really be worth the NP cost.
Ultra Talents[]
Mini-Surge is Himeyuri's most notable ultra talent. It's capable of raising her uptime and her dps, while also adding some piercing into the mix. This can alleviate some issues regarding her weaker matchups, as now she can strike through and control even more of the field, which is good against any enemy that can outrange her.
Unfortunately, the positives end very quickly. The mini-surge is generally inconsistent in just a few too many ways for it to be a good investment. From it being only a 50%, to it's incredibly wide spawn range, Himeyuri may not struggle to create a surge, since she creates them as often as she slows, but she only gets a 57% chance for a surge to also carry her slow, and having the surge hit the enemies makes things even more complicated. Offense is also a pretty rough situation as it only gives her 10% more offense, which is still inconsistent. This is already a poor buff, but the high investment needed makes things even worse.
Himeyuri's only other ultra talent is Cost Down, which decreases her cost by 750. This is fine in theory, but hard to recommend simply because it's very expensive to get to, especially for an uber with a cost that isn't too high.
Himeyuri's ultra talents are recommendable under the very small circumstances in which you need a crowd controlling sniper for floating enemies or angels and are willing to pay any price for it because of some difficult stages. However, if you already have one, you can completely ignore these very minimal improvements.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: A woman wearing a kimono, a kitsune (fox) mask, leggings, and okobo (japanese slippers) on top a wooden Japanese lantern. She has three tails flowing behind her. Three Cats are seen floating near the lantern. Two of the cats sport the same mask as the woman while the other has a mask resembling a cat's face.
- Evolved Form: The mask has come off! The same unit, but now in color. The woman has lost the okobo and her leggings have become shorter. She has nine tails now, resembling the nine-tailed Kitsune. The lantern is more dojo-esque with charms. A bell with a red and white rope is present at the front of the lantern. The cats around her have exchanged their masks for fox ears and are holding what seem to be strips of paper attached to a stick
- True Form: The cats holding sticks with paper are now holding racks of bells. The cat at the bottom seems to be holding a brush. The lantern becomes more decorated. Almost all the black turns to red, the yellow to white, and the white to pink. She loses the mask completely but has jade (?) accessories here and there.

Trivia[]
- It is possibly implied in his description that she is possessing Imagawa Yoshimoto, as she is a Ninetails, and Yoshimoto's description says he is "possessed by an all-knowing fox spirit". Furthermore, Himeyuri's first form says that she "wanders mortal realms hunting for the weak-willed", and these two Cats are the only ones that reference Kitsune lore. In Japanese folklore, she would be considered a Kitsune or, more specifically, a Nogitsune, as she does not actively harbor hatred against humans or Cats in her other forms.
