Volkanos Volcano (ボルケーノ火山 Borukēno Kazan, Volcano Volcano) is the 10th sub-chapter of Stories of Legend. It was added in version 2.0 and is available up to 4♛ difficulty.

Difficulty[]

Easy until the last two stages, which can be some of the most difficult for a while. Each stage is different from the last, and so the player may have to change up their loadouts a lot. The hard stages in this sub-chapter include Volcanic Defender (Teacher Bun Bun appears early on, along with Shy Boys) and Flame Caldera (Kory's introduction).

  • 2♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 150%.
  • 3♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 200%.
  • 4♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 300% and only allows Special Cats and Rare Cats to be deployed.

New Features[]

This sub-chapter introduces one new enemy:

  • Kory: A moderately tough Traitless enemy with high health, mediocre range and several knockbacks. What makes him dangerous is his ability to perform Wave Attacks (Lv. 4, to be specific), which will happen a lot if the player risks spamming short-ranged cats against him. It is also important to note that the first time Kory appears, he is buffed to 200%.

Trivia[]

  • The Japanese name of this sub-chapter is literally the English word "volcano" (ボルケーノ borukēno) followed by the Japanese word of the same meaning (火山 kazan). If the name were translated into English more directly, it would be called Kazan Volcano.
