Zamelle

Zamelle (キャベロン, Kyaberon) is a Zombie variant of Camelle that appears in Legend Stages and the Zombie Outbreaks of Cats of the Cosmos Chapter 2.

Enemy

Zamelle attacks and moves slower than Camelle, but is only knocked back when killed. While she does not burrow, she can revive an infinite amount of times if she isn't finished for good, and her Base Destroyer ability can make her quite dangerous if you're losing ground.

Strategy

Although Zamelle may seem intimidating, she is not very threatening on her own due to her slow attack rate. In fact all you need are a couple of Shigong Cats. The problem arises when she is supporting other threats, as it would be difficult to get an opening and finish her off for good since her singular knockback doesn't allow for the best timing. More often than not, you'll have to deal with her the hard way, that being killing everything else, as her high range means not many units will be safe.

Despite lacking the Zombie Killer ability, Island Cat is a great unit as it can potentially attack Zamelle several times before death, though the Brainwashed Variant works much better. High-leveled Titan Cat, Crazed Titan and Brainwashed Titan can also be used in a similar capacity.

If you are unable to permanently kill Zamelle, use fast units like Maglev Cat, Crazed Giraffe Cat, or Awakened Bahamut Cat to bypass her before she could rise up again. Just beware that cheesing strategies are not always effective in some cases. Alternatively, these units can be used to deal damage before you get the last hit in with a Zombie Killer. Chipping her down with Omni-Strike Cats or Cats with a Wave Attack may also be feasible, provided that she is heavily supported.

Ubers that deal well with this enemy are anti-Zombie rushers and tankers, such as Ganglion (especially in True Form) and Seashore Kai and snipers that can somehow reach her like Saki.

Trivia

• Her Japanese name, Kyaberon, is a portmanteau of Kyameron, the Japanese pronunciation of Cameron (as in Cameron Diaz, who also used to be a cover girl), and beron, an onomatopoeia for sticking one's tongue out.
  • When written in Japanese, Cameron Diaz can also be read as Camelon Diaz.
• Her English description is a reference to how plastic surgery is infamously known for its lethality, especially when done by unscrupulous agencies, primarily due to blood loss, heart failure, or poisoning. On the other hand, her Japanese description only mentions she became a Zombie from a mere side-effect.
• Despite what her Japanese description says, camels do sweat, though they require a much higher temperature than humans and therefore tend not to. When they do, it evaporates directly from their skin rather than their coat, which helps to provide a cooling effect.
